Welcome to the USS Elysium!

The U.S.S. Elysium is the first of her class and apart of Starfleet's Ninth (Obsidian) Fleet, under the Command of one the youngest CO in the Fleet, the Elysium's role is one of diplomacy, scientific discovery and support in times of need. Boasting the most advanced technology available to the Federation and being fully holographic. The Elysium is home to some of the brightest minds in Starfleet as well as some unique positions, there is the Office of Internal Affairs and the elusive Department of Temporal Investigations which allows the Elysium to respond to any issue in her vicinity or threat to the timeline. There is also the first of 4 mobile branches of Starfleet Academy where cadets from all around the Federation can get hands-on experience aboard a fully operational Starfleet Vessel under the watchful gaze of an official representative of the Academy and one of the most experienced Admirals the Federation can offer.

The story so far...

The year is now 2394, and the Elysium was lost. But now, the Elysium returns home, without the Admiral. And the crew, led by Commander Phoenix Lalor, faced an uncertain future ahead.

Now with a crew which is a mix of old and new faces, the Crew of the Elysium sets out to reclaim their place in the Fleet, and to show that the trust Sharr had placed in them was not misplaced.

We join the Elysium as they enter a new year, though this New Year brings more challenges and more horrors...

    » Holiday Posting Policy

Posted on Thu Nov 23rd, 2017 @ 7:26am by Commander Phoenix Lalor in Sim Announcement

Here on the Elysium, we recognize that the holiday season is an important time for all concerned regardless of race, religion and creed.

Thus with this in mind, from the 12th of December, the posting regulations will be relaxed to allow for those who need to, to travel and to spend time with their families. During the period 12th of December until the 3rd of January, players are not required to post, but may do so, if they wish.

On the 4th of January the posting regulations will be back in force and a roll call will be issued. Players will be expected to reply to the roll call within a 7 day period and also expected to post 1 solo post within 7 days after the resumption of normal posting regulations.

    » Posting Rules

Posted on Mon Nov 6th, 2017 @ 7:48am by Commander Phoenix Lalor in General News

    From Commander Lalor:

I cannot believe I am posting this. But we have a number of crew relying on joint posts to keep them active. And a number of you are overdue for a post. So here is a reminder!

All players are required to compose one post a fortnight unless otherwise cleared by the CO or XO or an LOA (leave of absence) or ELOA (extended leave of absence) form is submitted.

While special consideration can be given if you have a condition or event that limits your posting, I am not telepathic, nor Betazoid; so I can't read minds. It is your job to email me.

All posts must contain proper English spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

    * Post lengths are expected to be upheld.
A solo post is to be no less than 400 words
A joint post is to be no less than 500 words.
A Personal Log is considered a post but only if it exceeds 400 words.

*A joint post counts as a full post for all authors involved, as long as they have contributed more than two sentences to it. If not, then the others will gain recognition for the post and the player will still require to post a solo post to meet the posting requirements.

*You must not, under any circumstances, write using another player's character or NPC without their consent. This may ONLY be done by the CO or XO if a player suddenly becomes inactive or is unable to be located and a response on that character's behalf is required to move the plot along.

*You must do a solo post/personal log or a joint post with CO and XO within 1 week of being accepted. You will be removed if you do not.

    * LOAs are granted for periods of two weeks and ELOAs for two weeks to a month. Over that you need to speak to a member of the command staff. Repeatedly going on LOA for extended periods is harmful to the simm and will be looked at by the command staff.

Arrianna suddenly found herself again chopping meat in the galley. This was horrific, she was being consumed by base survival instincts, and she didn't know that her dreams were spilling over to other members of the crew.

Phoenix was puzzled as she looked around. Yeah she was definitely dreaming.
